Mission Statement The mission of the Lafayette County Literacy Council (LCLC) is to improve literacy and encourage the love of reading in Oxford and Lafayette County. An educated citizenry is essential to the social, economic, and cultural quality of life in a community. Because an individual’s ability to read is the foundation of all education, the LCLC provides programs for learners of all ages.
